Wine production has been in the family for four generations. The taste for wine and love for the land has been passed down to the younger generations, who specialized in the art of preserving Nature and concentrating the result of several generations' work into a single glass.

Monte Formigão Winery is located in central Portugal in the limestone massif of Serra de Sicó, in Podentes, a few kilometers from Coimbra. It produces still and sparkling wines certified as Vinho Regional Beira Atlântico - Sub-Region Terras de Sicó. In this terroir, the Baga grape variety is queen, creating limestone wines that showcase the interaction between Man and Nature and are truly unrepeatable.

This region boasts beautiful landscapes where the dark green of pine forests contrasts with the grayish green of olive trees and the vibrant green of vineyards. It offers other riches such as historical heritage with Roman ruins, castles, and pillories, not forgetting the gastronomy and local products like honey, olive oil, Rabaçal cheese, and, inevitably, the wine of Terras de Sicó.
